FRENCH MINISTRY OF HEALTH ADVISORY REGARDING PIP BREAST IMPLANTS

The French Ministry of Health has recently advised the estimated 30,000 women in France who have PIP (Poly Implant Prothèse) breast implants to have them removed. These breast implants were not available in the US but American women who underwent breast augmentation abroad may have had them implanted. There is a reported twofold increase in the rate of rupture of the PIP breast implants, and health risks from ruptured or leaking implants are unclear. PIP implants were also sold in the UK, Spain and South America.

We’re Expanding!

Dr. Olivia Hutchinson is thrilled to be expanding her aesthetic surgery practice to Tribeca, NYC and Englewood, NJ. We are now scheduling patients at both new locations. Dr. Hutchinson will be doing consultations on new and existing patients, as well as minimally invasive procedures such as Botox® and Juvederm® at both her new office locations. She will also be performing minor surgeries such as excisions of skin lesions in those offices. Patients seen in either office may be scheduled for aesthetic or reconstructive plastic surgery procedures in our Operating Room facility on East 83rd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, or at one of the hospitals in New York City where Dr. Hutchinson operates. Theses include the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary on East 14th Street, Lenox Hill Hospital on East 77th Street and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital on East 64th Street in NYC.
